Sorry for the long absence. Looking at the gap between these blog posts one might think I dropped off the face of the Earth. In reality, I’ve been elbow deep in the Earth as of late. In the previous week we have broken ground on the studio garden and have begun the long, arduous process of digging up the sod where we plan on planting. Nothing like some good old fashioned elbow grease to get things done.

During this particular day the sky opened up and poured down on me for about ten minutes before stopping. I felt like Shia LaBeouf in his movie Holes. We’ve made it just past half way. It’s exciting to see the first steps of the garden beginning to take form- even if it is just a patch of dirt.

I stopped to take some pictures around the studio. Things just look much cooler after it’s rained.
